**Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role**

We have multiple positions available for pharmacists across the district, including Foundation Pharmacists, Advanced Pharmacists (Rotational), Clinical Pharmacists and an Infectious Diseases Pharmacist.

We have vacancies for Foundation Pharmacists based at either Hutt Hospital or Wellington Hospital, with potential rotations at all sites across our district. These positions are rotational and rotate through specified clinical and/or operational areas..

We have vacancies for Advanced Pharmacists (Rotational) based at Wellington Hospital. These positions rotate through more complex specialities, such as ED, ICU and Cardiology/Cardiothoracics.

We have vacancies for Clinical Pharmacists based at Hutt Hospital. These positions are mostly ward based, but may have dispensary duties. Clinical duties may include more complex specialities such as ICU, Paediatrics, and Plastics and Burns.

We also have a vacancy for an Infectious Diseases Pharmacist based at Hutt Hospital. This role will work as part of the Infectious Diseases and Infection, Prevention and Control teams providing advice and support to a range of clinical teams.

The pharmacy team is well respected by clinicians, nursing staff, and senior management across the organisation, and is constantly looking at ways to improve the service and care it delivers. We provide a comprehensive pharmacy service throughout to the Capital Coast and Hutt Valley District, which includes a clinical service, dispensary & logistics service, and a quality & risk service. There is also an aseptic production service at Capital & Coast Hospitals (Wellington & Kenepuru). Through these services, we aim to improve the quality and effectiveness of prescribing, supply and distribution of medicines throughout the Capital Coast and Hutt Valley District. Our teams value professional growth, and emphasizes clinical development and medicines optimization for our patients.

We want to hear from you if you are interested in any aspect of hospital pharmacy, working either full
- or part-time. If you are interested but are unsure which position may be suitable for you, please contact us to discuss further.

Our Foundation Pharmacist positions are entry level positions suited to those who have just attended the assessment centre, newly qualified pharmacists or experienced community pharmacists wanting to gain experience in hospital pharmacy.

Our Advanced Pharmacist (Rotational), Clinical Pharmacist and Infectious Diseases Pharmacist positions are suitable for those with prior experience in hospital pharmacy, either within New Zealand or a recognised overseas equivalent setting (i.e. Australia, UK, Ireland, Canada or the USA).
