**The Role**

To support the rapid growth of the business we are seeking a Commercial and Compliance Analyst to join Seequent’s Operations team. Responsible for the regular compliance analysis to support the group SOX reporting requirements, this role also assists the Commercial Manager in commercial analytics and to support and interact with global Regional Sales Operations Managers to analyse and assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for the Seequent business and undertake other ad hoc analysis regarding commercial performance.

The position requires an analyst with strong quantitative skills and general commercial awareness and acumen, and the ability to identify via analysis the factors that drive financial performance in a complex global business. Central to this function is the capability to analyse and interpret data and formulate business intelligence to aid business decision making, supported by the ability to navigate disconnected data sets and deal with complexity, along with a natural curiosity and a numerical affinity.
**In this role, you will have the opportunity to**:

- Proactively assist the operational and commercial functions in gathering and analysing financial and operational data (either continually or on a project basis) and providing assessments and analysis of the compiled data. This position is aimed to add high numeracy, deep-level analysis capabilities to the commercial team.
- Collaborate and liaise with Bentley group as well as Operations team members to ensure Seequent compliance and control policies and practices align with those of the group as well as working with other groups within the Seequent business responsible for specific controls.
- Take ownership for the analysis, reconciliation, preparation and submission of periodic reporting required under Seequent’s SOX controls. The primary analysis/reconciliation will be the monthly review to ensure licenses sold, licenses fulfilled, and licenses invoiced are consistent.
- Ensure Seequent complies with all sanction and export control regulations, as advised by the group Legal team
- Help implement systems and processes to review Seequent transactions for potential sanctions and export control risk (customers, vendors and other third parties as applicable)
- Collaborate closely with the Seequent teams to help educate on SOX, sanctions, export control, and OFAC policies and procedures as appropriate (supporting group-wide education initiatives at a Bentley group level).

**In order to be successful in this role, you should have**:

- Relevant Tertiary Qualification in Business, Commerce, or related fields.
- Proven commercial analytical experience with at least 4 years’ experience in related roles.
- Sound administration experience, in particular knowledge of software sales processes and CRM, licensing and financials systems would be an advantage.
- Well defined strategic and critical thinking skills, experience in analysing and reporting on financial targets and trends, assistance in developing budgets, and monitoring compliance.
- Quick response capability along with exceptional attention to detail, ability to work in a methodical way and be able to take responsibility for prioritisation of orders and workflows.
- Confident interacting with all levels of an organisation and diligent in following due processes and procedures.
