The Department of Human Nutrition at the University of Otago is the longest established department of its kind at a New Zealand University, and is the only New Zealand University to offer Foodservice management and Global Nutrition at undergraduate level.Undergraduate degrees include BSc and BSc(Hons) in Human Nutrition, and BAppSc and BAppSc(Hons) in Sport and Exercise Nutrition. In addition, a range of postgraduate options in Human Nutrition, including MSc/PhD in Human Nutrition, Master of Applied Science in Advanced Nutrition
Practice with electives in Sports and Exercise Science, Public Health and Education, Science Communication, Entrepreneurship and Food Industry.

**The Role/Te mahi**
Applications are invited for the full-time, permanent (confirmation path) Lecturer in Human Nutrition and Global Health. This is an exciting opportunity for a new or seasoned scholar to make a significant
contribution to research and teaching from a global nutrition and health perspective while being well supported by a collegial Department.
In this role you will be responsible for:

- Teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students in the area of Global Nutrition, including developing course content and teaching materials, participating in collaborative teaching activities and assessing student performance.
- Contributing to the research activities within the Department, including publishing in high-quality peer-reviewed journals, obtaining external funding support and supervising research students.
- Contributing to the effective and efficient running of the Department and its responsibilities within the University and wider community.

We are seeking a scholar with an earned doctorate and proven research record in Global Nutrition.
Teaching and research experience on global nutrition with a focus on low
- government organistions in addition to United Nations groups such as the World Health Organization,Food and Agriculture Organisation and UNICEF.
