We are looking for a hard-working and enthusiastic Trainee Wallboard Installer to join us in Auckland Region. You should have a positive attitude and be willing to learn. You must be mature and responsible when it comes to dealing with tough situations. You will have to be physically fit, a fast learner someone who enjoys working as part of a team. Minimum guaranteed 30 hours of work Per week. Days Required: Monday to Sunday (flexible hours). Hourly rate: Between $24.00- $25.00 per hour.

- Provide support and assistance to Wallboard Installers to install wallboard and plasterboard to ceilings and interior walls
- To assist the Wallboard Installers in site preparation, clearance, and maintaining general site tidiness
- Performing tasks as directed by the Wallboard Installers to include assisting in determining job requirements, planning/configuring, installations, repairing and replacing fittings
- Plastering and stopping as directed
- As directed, assist with storage, lifting, fetching supplies, Unload wallboards and equipment from truck and check deliveries
- Comply with all required health and safety regulations
- Erection of mobile scaffolding as required
- Clean up worksites from hazardous or obsolete material as directed
- Immediately report problems/failures that may impact on the organisation and/or its clients/customers or which you think may affect health and safety
- Contribute towards the smooth running of the team
- Adhere to all organisation policies and procedures, including those relating to hygiene, respect for other team members, time keeping and flexibility
- Flexible Work Availability as there will be early morning start, and you may be required to work during weekends and public holidays
- Excellent fitness and physical ability to lift heavy objects
- Be mild-tempered and a team player.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
- Ability to read safety warnings, and guidelines
- Attentive to detail and alert at all times to ensure safety
- Be honest and trustworthy
- Take pride in your work and go the extra mile to make sure the job is top notch
- Able to receive and follow instructions
- Enjoy coming to work and willing to be part of a team.
- No Criminal Record and able to clear the drug test
