Bakery Assistant Wanted
Work Location: New Plymouth -Brooklands

Our pay: $28 - $31 per hour depending on experience.

We are a long established and busy bakery located in Brooklands, New Plymouth. To meet increasing community needs, we are now looking for 1 Bakery Assistants to join
our team. We are expecting someone who has a passion for baking, attention to details, ability to multi-task and be a proactive member of the team.

Prior work experience is not mandatory but would be an advantage. We are happy to train you and help you to grow your skills. Priority will be given to local NZ residence/citizens.

Tasks Include:

- Assisting the baker in carrying out regular bakery duties
- Ingredients preparation to ensure that they meet all quality specifications
- Mixing and preparation of doughs and mixtures
- Adjusting and monitoring oven and other cookware’s temperatures to ensure proper baking and cooking time
- Take out the baked pastry from the forms, trays, unloading, de-panning and cooling the finished products
assembling gourmet sandwiches baking off scones, muffins and cookies
- Cleaning workstations and ensuring that all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next shift.
- Maintaining a high level of product quality and adhere to health and safety requirements at all times
- Taking orders and process payments
