**He angitūtanga: The opportunity**

Situated in our East Coast Bays Leisure Centre as a Recreation Assistant, no two days will be the same You’ll help us deliver an exciting range of community fitness and school holiday programmes.

In this frontline role, your responsibilities will include, delivering exceptional customer service to our customers and visitors supporting the delivery of a variety of exciting programmes for children aged 5 -12, helping the Centre maintain a caring, fun and safe fitness and leisure environment, providing assistance to Centre management with administration and operational duties, and supporting with Centre activities including sporting leagues and daily timetabled programmes.

As a basketball referee, you will use your knowledge and experience to officiate basketball games and maintain a high level of judgment to ensure a consistent and fair game.

**He kōrero mōu: About you**

You have sound communication skills, confident in managing group dynamics and are highly organised with a flexible approach.

A positive attitude and willingness to learn is the key. Experience in Basketball, first aid certificate, and understanding of health and safety procedures would be an advantage but not required.

We have **1 casual opportunity, **so you’ll need to work flexible hours as and when needed, including weekends, early starts and late finishes.

You **must be available during the school holidays**. During the school holiday, you will be required to work up to 30 - 40 hours per week.

You will have the opportunity to train in the customer support representative role and support the centre during other periods.
