**Casual Team Member (Network Support) Lifeguard | East and South Auckland**

Our Leisure Centres are more popular than ever, and as a Casual Team Member, you’ll have the opportunity to work across multiple roles within our Leisure centres.

We are looking for confident swimmers with or without a current Pool Lifeguard Practising Certificate (PLCP) and with great customer service.

You will have the opportunity to flex your hours up or down to suit your availability week-to-week. The team member role will vary with Lifeguarding, Customer Service or Recreation shifts.

As a casual team member, you will deliver an outstanding, safe, and diverse customer experience across our pool and leisure facilities and contribute to our goal to enable Aucklanders to Get Active Their Way.

Please note a Lifeguard swim test is required prior to interview.
- Swim 200m freestyle in less than 6 minutes
- Swim 50m breast stroke
- Duck, dive and retrieve objects from the bottom of the pool (at 5m depth)
- Tread water for 5 minutes

Training for Lifeguard PLPC certification and First Aid Certificates can be arranged for you once hired.

**You will need to be available for the lifeguard training from 3 July to 13 July (Weekdays 8:30am - 4pm).**

We are looking for someone that has:

- Proven administration and communication skills,
- Proven ability to provide outstanding customer service
- Excellent communication skills, maturity, and reliability

Our centres are open 7 days a week so flexibility will be crucial, with early morning shifts from 5:00 am and late shifts up to 10:00 pm as well as weekends and public holidays.
- _Locations: Allan Brewster (Papatoetoe), Howick, Lloyd Elsmore (Pakuranga), Moana-Nui-a-Kiwa (Mangere), Manurewa, Otara, Outdoor Experience (Otara), Papatoetoe Centennial and Te Matariki Clendon._

Excellent communication skills, maturity, and reliability are key in this role as is being practically minded and using your initiative where required.

The ideal applicant will be passionate about sports and recreation as well as possessing or working towards obtaining a relevant qualification within the field.
