We are Grinding Gear Games, creators of the award-winning dark fantasy Action RPG Path of Exile. We're a diverse and inclusive studio of more than 175 world-class developers based in Auckland, New Zealand and we're currently expanding the Path of Exile 2 development team.

We seek an experienced **Game Designer** to join the Path of Exile development team.

**The position includes the following duties**:

- Designing gameplay systems, monsters, bosses and items for Path of Exile
- Editing metadata and scripting to implement your designs
- Communicating your designs to artists and programmers to allow them to create what you have designed

**We are seeking someone with**:

- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Computer Science, Game Development or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience with production, quality assurance or game design work on a commercial online game project
- **Strong** Experience and knowledge of Path of Exile
- Excellent communication skills

**Pluses**:

- Experience with MMORPGs with a focus on in-game economies

Our work hours are flexible, with core hours from 11.00am to 3.30pm.
