We've got a unique opportunity for a permanent Strategic Communications Partner to join our awesome communications team.
**In this role, you'll**:

- be a communications super star who is confident dealing with the media, identifying proactive opportunities and risk;
- provide high-quality strategic communications and stakeholder advice as the business partner for Audit New Zealand;
- develop content for different products and communication channels to leverage our work and increase impact; and
- provide collegial support and back-up for other Strategic Communication Partners as required.

**We're looking for someone with**:

- confidence dealing with the media and identifying proactive opportunities and risk;
- proven experience in leading, developing and implementing communication strategies and plans and then executing them;
- excellent strategic and critical thinking skills (with the ability to see the big picture, define problems clearly, analyse issues, and give thorough, objective, and sound guidance and advice);
- excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write clearly and concisely in plain English;
- experience in internal communications; and
- some understanding of, and experience with, te ao Māori

A tertiary qualification or relevant industry experience in communications or a related discipline is required.
