Massey University's Design Studio and Printery team is looking for a smart, versatile, hardworking, and savvy Senior Graphic Designer to be an integral part of our team. You would be responsible for developing outstanding graphics and supporting the University's communications initiatives, as well as supporting the design needs of multiple external businesses which are clients of Massey's Printery on a full-time ongoing basis.

**Key accountabilities include**:

- consulting with internal and external customers on design project specifications
- developing design briefs that suit the client's purpose
- revising designs until acceptable print-ready results are attained
- contributing ideas and concepts to help determine effective product selection and design of print media, signage, promotional and marketing items
- assisting with the creation of integrated internal and external marketing and communications plans and strategy to increase usage of the Printery and Design Studio.

**What you will bring**:

- Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field
- Ideally five years of job-related experience, (or an equivalent combination of education
- Experience of creating a broad range of print and digital design collateral
- Significant experience with print pre-press procedures for preparation and layout of artwork for specific printing and bindery requirements
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Premier). Experience using other graphics design software (e.g., Fireworks, Flash, QuickTime is desirable
- Effective organisational and interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team

If you have a talent for designing high-quality, visually compelling print and digital materials, have solid experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator) and are a strong communicator with exceptional customer service orientation, we want to hear from you
