- Exposure to a wide range of policy issues, including involvement in issues that cut across the whole Children's system
- Coaching and mentoring, and a tailored training & development programme

Everyone's pathway to Oranga Tamariki - Ministry for Children is unique, and we actively seek individuals with different perspectives who can contribute to the diversity of the policy group.

**There are also some key qualities and skills we look out for**:

- An interest in and passion for the work we do
- Clear and logical writing skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Taking initiative
- A collaborative working style
