**About the role**:
We are currently advertising a rare opportunity for an experienced Art Director with a strong creative flair to join our design team

We are looking for an inspirational Art Director who will be a self-motivated creative "leader", helping the studio deliver highly effective output which meets business objectives. Working closely with the Studio Manager and the SkyCity group, you will come from an integrated background where you will be focused on visual communications across printed publications, advertising, campaigns and the web.

You will lead and oversee all creative, have the ability to meet deadlines, multi-task and manage a flexible workload, whilst working in a busy environment. You'll have the ability to not only design and have great ideas, but also support the team with the day-to-day Mac work when needed.

Key responsibilities will include: taking briefs, writing creative strategy, contributing ideas and design artwork to the overall brief, using innovation to redefine design briefs, presenting concepts and designs, overseeing the Design team, working to tight deadlines and keeping up to date with the latest trends.

**You'll bring**:

- 5 years+ experience, working in a similar role in a corporate environment or agency
- Strong leadership capability (you'll be managing a team of 4)
- Proven experience working with Adobe Creative Suite
- An excellent understanding of web design, on-line advertising/design
- Knowledge of pre-press processes and the ability to prepare documents/files to print stage
- Demonstrated project management skills, including budget management
- An excellent understanding of conceptual design, crafting of artwork, branding
- Drive, passion and great interpersonal skills
