Regulatory Administrator

Due to an internal promotion, Napier City Council has an opportunity for a high performing administrator with solid organisational and administration skills to join our Regulatory Solutions Team.
As a Regulatory Administrator, you will provide administrative support to the Regulatory Solutions Team to ensure the efficient, effective and consistent delivery of the regulatory functions of Napier City Council.
This is a role that sits in a fast-paced environment and has a strong customer focus, which will allow you to be part of our hardworking and supportive team environment. This varied role offers you a different challenge every day and will offer you empowerment of your own learning to enable you to continually grow your knowledge with our team.
**Responsibilities will include**:
- Providing administrative support for the delivery of regulatory administration processes and systems
- Ensuring council policy and legislative administrative obligations are met
- Coordinating responses for requests of information, disputes and complaints
- Maintaining regulatory records and databases to ensure council policy and legislative obligations are met
- Seek to improve processes, systems and documentation within the regulatory solutions portfolio Providing support to the Team Leader Regulatory Administration
**To be successful in this role, you will need**:
- Ideally experience in an administrative and project coordination role; and
- Have the working ability to read, interpret and implement legislative requirements related to this role. For example, but not limited to, Local Government Act, Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act, Food Act, Resource Management Act, Land Transport Act, bylaws and policies
