**The Role**:
This role requires a registered Line Mechanic who has experience working on overhead lines, a valid class 2 drivers licence, and the ability to climb poles. As a 2nd Response Fault Person, you will be responsible for responding to faults and assisting in the maintenance and repair of overhead power lines. You will also:
- Respond to fault calls and assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to overhead power lines
- Conduct inspections and identify potential faults or areas of concern
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of overhead power lines, including replacing poles, insulators, and conductors
- Safely climb poles and work at heights to perform necessary tasks
- Operate company vehicles and equipment, adhering to all safety protocols
- Complete accurate documentation and reports of work performed
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective fault response and maintenance activities

**Who we’re looking for**
We are seeking for someone with:
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience as a Line Mechanic
- Previous experience working with overhead power lines is preferred
- Valid class 2 drivers license
- A EWRB registration as a Line Mechanic preferred or are ready to apply
- The ability to climb poles and is physically fit
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies and procedures
