**We are seeking a passionate and experienced Procurement Lead to join our growing Christchurch branch.**:
In this role, you will play a pivotal role in sourcing quality products at competitive prices, ensuring uninterrupted supply for our valued customers.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for assigned categories.
- Conduct market research, identify qualified suppliers, and negotiate contracts.
- Manage supplier relationships and build new partnerships.
- Analyse purchase data and identify cost reduction and process improvement opportunities.
- Stay informed of market trends, industry best practices, and legal requirements related to procurement.
- Lead a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Manage and negotiate contracts with suppliers, securing the best possible terms and conditions for Service Foods.
- Oversee the entire procurement process, from identifying needs to delivery and invoice reconciliation.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to optimize costs and minimize risks.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, fostering collaboration and ensuring open communication.
- Stay up-to-date on market trends and industry best practices within the foodservice sector.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes within the Christchurch branch.

**Requirements**:
This role requires a strong leader with excellent communication skills, a strategic mindset, and a passion for delivering exceptional service.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a procurement role, preferably within the foodservice industry.
- Relevant tertiary qualification preferred
- Proven track record of securing excellent deals and negotiating profitable contracts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and manage risks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and team-oriented approach.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and procurement software.
- Understanding of foodservice industry trends and dynamics is a plus.
