The Whakapapa whānau are a small but ambitious team, running year-round operations on the northern slopes of Mt Ruapehu. In winter, from June until October, this includes a world-class ski area. In summer, from December until April, this includes our summer sightseeing operation, heroing our iconic Sky Waka gondola. Each year we welcome hundreds of thousands of manuhiri (guests) to Whakapapa, many with life-long connections to the maunga (mountain) and surrounding region, some even third or fourth generation.

We are looking for fun, fit, and strong people to join our wonderful food and beverage team, distributing goods to, from and within the ski fields.

Working at Mt Ruapehu, you'll be surrounded by like-minded people who are flexible, willing to have a crack where needed, work hard and then ski/ride even harder

Everyone here shares a passion for the mountain and the surrounding region because of the endless possibilities for adventure. - Mō te tūnga | About the role_

This position is responsible for transferring goods throughout the ski area facilities. The other nitty gritty bits include:

- Ensure received goods are stored correctly and in the appropriate location.
- Ensure orders are picked accurately and within set timeframes.
- Ensure picked orders are prepared for transportation as per departmental guidelines i.e. special requirements for particular food stuffs.
- Ensure all goods and equipment are delivered as required, using appropriate transportation methods.
- Ensure all associated paperwork is completed accurately, neatly and within set timeframes.

- Experience working in hospitality or stores would be beneficial.
- Positive and proactive verbal communication skills and a willingness to work in a team.
- Helpfulness and willingness when dealing with people.
- A flexible approach to work schedules, ability to lift heavy stuff and a CAN DO attitude.

Remuneration range for this role is $23.15 - $24 per hour depending on experience.
