**Mō tēnei tūranga mahi - About the role**

The Registry is the business owner of the Student Management System which is the primary data source for all student academic information. As the Team Leader, you will be a contributing member of the team focussed on the management of information located in this system. You will work closely with the Manager - Registry to:

- Actively manage day to day workload and workflow across the team, including working alongside, supervising and supporting colleagues in their role
- Lead and facilitate team meetings to ensure effective coordination of work and shared understanding
- Ensure business systems and processes operate efficiently and are continuously improved
- Provide a quality customer experience in all interactions
- Ensure that high levels of quality and compliance are maintained, and that system data supports the integrity of Ara enrolment policy and processes
- Maintain compliance with Government rules and regulations
- Support the wider organisation in its understanding of the funding regulations and framework

**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako - Skills/Experience**
- Tertiary or professional qualification or equivalent work experience
- Experience in a service industry and a commitment to quality customer service
- Analytical approach with an understanding of complex administrative systems and processes
- Experience in and an understanding of the complexities of enrolment of domestic and international students
- Knowledge of the Code of International Practice, New Zealand Immigration Service and Insurance requirements
- Proven leadership and management skills
- Strong planning and organisational skills
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal
- Experience in the tertiary education sector would be an advantage.
