**Te ahua o te turanga / About the role**

In this role you will lead the design and implementation of social services procurement activities and provide quality assurance and best practice to support commissioning.

- Prior success in a Senior Procurement role within the public sector, managing end-to-end procurement of strategic services.
- In-depth social service procurement and commissioning experience is a must.
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant field is highly desirable.
- Experience in coaching and mentoring, exhibiting strong leadership skills.
- Proven technical expertise in managing high-risk and high-value sourcing strategies.
- Capability to provide an elevated level of sourcing expertise across the Ministry and government.
- Exceptional stakeholder management abilities complemented by excellent interpersonal skills.
- Thorough understanding of the Government Rules of Procurement and Principles of Procurement.
- Understanding or experience in the NGO sector.
- Demonstrated experience in project management methodologies, preferably within a commissioning setting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of government processes, procedures, and Machinery of Government processes.
