Our client, Total Hydraulic Solutions Limited, are really under pressure, and it is all good Based in Rotorua, they are proud to be locally owned and operated and have been servicing Rotorua and the wider Bay of Plenty region for the past 15 years. They are looking for motivated people to come and join their family friendly team. In particular, we are looking for a Fitter/Turner with a minimum 3 years’ experience in hydraulics to join their expanding team.

**Key duties of the role include**:

- Complete complex diagnostic investigations both mobile and industrial
- Running hydraulic systems diagnostics and fault finding
- Fitter/turner work, examining drawings, setting up and machining parts to required standards
- Operation of manual lathes, milling, grinding, drilling and tooling machines

As well as routine workshop precession based machining jobs, there will be a mix of workshop based fitting, machining jobs and on site diagnostics/maintenance, with no two days the same. You will get loads of variety, deal with all sorts of customers, all sorts of problems, all sorts of locations, and all sorts of activities. One minute you could be hands-on repairing a hydraulic system problem in the forest, the next you could building a new cylinder in the workshop.
- This is a full-time role, with a minimum of 40 hours and a maximum of 55 hours per week. A competitive remuneration of $38 - $45 gross per hour is being offered, depending on qualifications and experience.

**To be successful in this role, you will need**:

- An outgoing, extroverted personality
- A trade qualification, fitter/turner or equivalent
- A minimum of three years’ experience in a similar, industry related role
- Fluency in English (read/write/speak)
- The ability to self-manage and to self-motivate
- A willingness and flexibility to take on tasks and responsibilities, being adaptable is key
- Excellent problem-solving ability, think outside the box and come up with workable solutions
- A professional approach to your work, with meticulous attention to detail
- To be physically fit (some heavy lifting is involved)
- Sound computer literacy
- To be willing and able to undertake on call roster work
