**Korero mō te tūranga| About the role**

We are looking for a kitchen assistant to join our busy café, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring a smooth and efficient kitchen operation. Your responsibilities will include customer service and cash handling, food preparation, dishwashing and general cleaning.

Key responsibilities:

- To work collegially with the team of kitchen assistants and cooks
- To ensure the café is organised and maintained in accordance with personal hygiene standards and safety practices at all times
- Customer service
- Wash dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment promptly and thoroughly
- Collaborate with the team to uphold a high standard of food quality and presentation

On the job training will be provided.
