**Service**: Nutrition & Food Service

**Contract**: Permanent, Part-time 30 hours per fortnight (0.375 FTE)

Join our dedicated kitchen team in providing essential support for our hospital’s food services. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will be responsible for serving inpatient meals and Meals on Wheels meals, and ensuring the overall cleanliness of the kitchen. The role encompasses general kitchen cleaning duties, dishwashing, and contributing to the smooth operation of the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

- Serve meals for inpatients and Meals on Wheels recipients.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment
- Operate dishwashing equipment and ensure timely cleaning of dishes and utensils
- Assist in general kitchen cleaning duties, including surfaces, equipment, and storage areas
- Adhere to food control plan. A food safety certificate is desirable
- Participate in on-the-job training to enhance your skills and knowledge
