**Description**:
**About the Role**:
MPC Kinetic is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Advisor to join our Production Chemicals team, based in New Plymouth, New Zealand. Reporting to the General Manager - Production Chemicals, the Senior Technical Advisor will be responsible for the sales and service team in New Zealand, maintaining our current clients and growing sales into existing and new markets in the upstream and downstream oil and gas industry.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Communicating with clients, visiting offices/field locations.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Taking purchase orders and arranging blending and delivery requirements.
- Preparing customer invoices for our accounts, reviewing invoices and sending them out.
- Tracking and ordering stock level requirements, liaising with local and overseas suppliers.
- Providing technical field support.
- Carrying out routine monthly and quarterly lab testing on samples.
- Carrying out ad hoc lab testing in support of solving client field issues.
- Writing up monthly service reports, based on lab testing of samples.
- Lodging purchase orders for lab consumables.
- Writing up proposals and technical reports.

**Skills and Experiences**:
**About You**:

- Formal qualifications in Chemical Engineering.
- Experience in a similar position, with relevant industry experience.
- A self-motivated personality, showing initiative and a desire to succeed.
- Strong business development skills and a proven track record in new business development.
- Skillful in direct sales disciplines, customer service and negotiation.
- Safety focused, with a high attention to detail.
- Advances user of Microsoft Office and relevant software.
