Playing a part in our community is at the heart of what we do. We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team based in Waimarino - this is a permanent part time role (3-4 days per week dependent on the successful applicants needs).

**Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**

The Waimarino area is inclusive of Taihape, Ohakune, Raetihi and Waiouru (your role will involve day trips to these locations). Our Nurses are a key part of our organisation conducting home visits and facilitating clinics performing checks to ensure pēpi are developing and growing and providing clinical advice which empowers our whānau to succeed and prosper in their journey raising tamariki.

You will work in partnership with whānau to support and enhance parents, you will also assess growth and development of tamariki.

The care we provide often requires working with multiple agencies and specialists. While it will not be up to you alone to make the difference, you’ll be able to leverage and work with other community support and our Whānau Āwhina services to respond to the needs of our community.

We’re interested in hearing from new graduates, established nurses and we also have our Return to Nursing Competency Assessment Programme for nurses who have not practiced recently.

The uniqueness of the whānau we connect with is what makes our role interesting. You will be flexible in your approach, but always with a listening ear, manaakitanga (support), ngākau (respect), and the ability to provide culturally safe care.

While the autonomy of working on your own and home visiting will be attractive to you, your ability to work in collaboration with others will be the key to your success. Our team place whānau at the centre of what we do, and you will share this value.

To be successful in this role you will:

- Be a Registered Nurse
- Hold or be able to obtain an Annual Practicing Certificate
- Hold a full clean NZ Drivers Licence
- Be committed to completing Post Graduate Certificate in Well Child Tamariki ora (we will pay for this)
