Flooding is Auckland’s most frequently occurring natural hazard. We have a great opportunity for a civil/environmental engineer with a strong background in hydraulic modelling to join our team in a Principal level role.

In this role, you will focus on leading the development of hydraulic models to accurately reflect stormwater effects, thereby helping reduce the impacts of flood events on the people of Auckland. You will ensure that Flood Hazard Mapping and other models provide quality flood hazard predictions, help ensure climate change responses are appropriate and identify necessary upgrades in infrastructure for the growth and development of Auckland.

Along with other specialists within the Catchment Planning team, you will work on the development and delivery of stormwater and catchment management plans for growth areas in the Auckland region.

With a bachelor’s degree in civil/environmental engineering or science, you have relevant experience in three waters infrastructure, preferably in stormwater.
