**Panel beaters required in CANTERBURY region**
Our business at OneStaff Limited is growing, and we are looking for Experienced Panel beaters for multiple roles These roles require organized and trustworthy individuals. Quality workmanship is a must and something that you pride yourself on. You will need to be reliable and motivated. You might be asked to work across the country to assist with our projects, so flexibility on work locations is preferred.
The normal duties to be performed comprise all activities related to carrying out repair on the frame and bodyworks of damage vehicles to make it roadworthy and safe and to restore it to its original pre-damage condition, including but not limited to:
Duties include:
- Identifying the parts of the frame and bodywork of the vehicle that need to be repaired.
- Estimating the time and cost required to repair the damage
- Repairing any scratches and dents on the bodywork using panel beating methods such as planishing and body filling.
- Replacing any damage parts with new or second-hand panels
- Straightening and aligning the frame
- Carrying out preparation before starting the job such as removing damaged panels & parts, upholstery and accessories & also removing rust when necessary.
- Carrying our refinishing and repainting
- Using basic welding equipment for cutting and joining replacement parts.
- Keep the workspace, equipment & tools clean.
- Maintain health and safety requirements.
- All other duties as assigned.
Skills and experience required:
- **3+ years relevant experience OR relevant qualification**
- Friendly, with good time management, and excellent work ethic are essential
- A commitment to learning and developing your skills within the industry
- Good understanding of Health and Safety best practice
- Reliable and hardworking
**Pay conditions Min $ $29.66 per hour to a maximum of $31 per hour**
Hours of work-Minimum of 30 hours of work is guaranteed.
Location: You may be required to work in multiple locations/regions throughout New Zealand, including Auckland, Waikato, Wellington including the Kapiti Coast, Bay of Plenty and Canterbury.
