We are looking for an Operations Manager & Lean Specialist to help elevate our operations at our coffee and tea manufacturing site in Ōtara, Auckland. This is a great opportunity to make an impact and increase our productivity, while passing on your knowledge by coaching and mentoring our current shift leaders. Are you up for this challenge?

Note: this is a 12-month contract. You will usually work from Monday to Friday during normal office hours. We do require some flexibility to occasionally work afternoons / evenings / weekends. You will report to the Manufacturing Manager and manage a team of 3 Shift Leaders / Production Managers.

In this role, you will:

- Coordinate and optimise production resources to minimise overtime, reduce downtime and improve efficiency
- Manage, coach and empower our 3 shift leaders / production managers in lean six sigma principles
- Create clear and challenging KPIs for all staff and monitor and report on progress
- Drive a health and safety culture

For this role as an Operations Manager & Lean Specialist, we’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:

- You have extensive experience as Production Lead and Continuous Improvement Expert, ideally in an FMCG environment
- A Lean Six Sigma background / education
- You have a continuous improvement mindset
- You’re a skilled manager who can empower and coach a team
- You are skilled at stakeholder management and a confident presenter and communicator
- You have valid NZ working rights
