The Company
Goodman Fielder is a leading global food company committed to making everyday food better for everyone. We own a host of iconic brands that generations of people have grown up with and put in their supermarket trolleys every week including Vogel, Meadow Fresh, Molenberg, Puhoi Valley, Fortune and Edmonds to name a few. We also supply key ingredients to our customers in Foodservice such as fats/oils, sugar, rice and flour.
The opportunity
This newly created role will be responsible for the reliability, maintenance and improvement of all equipment across our Quality Bakers site in Auckland. The role will establish and drive ‘Best Practice' engineering standards and ensure that ongoing improvements are made to the maintenance plan, practices, processes, and documentation of the QBA plant & equipment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Coach, lead and develop your team to perform at their full potential
- Analyse asset reliability data and develop a defect elimination program as part of a sustainable long-term solutions and reliability improvement program.
- Develop a data-driven decision-making process that is aligned to the objectives of production
- Embed maintenance planning processes (Predictive maintenance, labour requirements, spending)
- Drive reliability improvements in all aspect of plant processes and equipment operations
- Model safe behaviors, and champion excellence in HSE management

About you
- A strong leader with proven experience developing and coaching high-performing teams
- An analytical mindset and the ability to think outside the box and communicate across a diverse audience
- An Engineering Diploma Degree in Mechanical or Electrical or Trade Qualifications is Essential. Post-trade qualification in business management/ reliability/ planning/ condition monitoring is highly desirable
- Knowledge in the best practices in Maintenance in an FMCG business with a strong understanding of Predicative maintenance
- Experience with continuous high-speed processing and packaging equipment in a bakery or industrial food production environment or relevant experience in an industrial maintenance environment
