We are looking for a health professional to join our team as a Clinical Educator, who is committed to the development of new approaches to supporting women, whaanau and babies impacted by diabetes in pregnancy and to work alongside them and their clinical carers to maximise the healthiest long-term outcome for women and babies. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, confident health professional to share their knowledge and contribute to new approaches for women and whaanau impacted by diabetes in pregnancy care before and after baby is born. In this role you will:

- Provide evidenced based clinical support to service users and to staff involved in delivering care and support to clients / whaanau affected by Diabetes in Pregnancy; with a strong connection to the Community Health Worker - Navigator role, sitting with the Diabetes in Pregnancy service. Review and enabling access to resources for service users within the community will be part of this role.
- Actively engage in the evaluation and development of the model of care pilot
- Advocate at a local, regional, and national level for evidenced based practice in the space of Diabetes in pregnancy and the postnatal and on-going health of mothers and babies.

**The successful applicant will**:

- Be a NZ Registered Health Professional with a valid APC. (Registered Midwife, Nurse or Dietitian)
- 3+ years clinical experience in the specialty of Diabetes in Pregnancy OR Diabetes Management or Paediatrics
- Full and clean NZ drivers licence
- Have commitment towards equity and an understanding of factors contributing to inequitable outcomes, particularly for waahine and Whaanau Maaori
- Be able to empower, facilitate and support development in others
- Be a confident and competent communicator
- Be able to create effective working relationships across a variety of arenas
- Always strive to improve standards of practice
