**Hill Labs has a great opportunity for an IT Support Engineer to join our support desk team based in our Christchurch branch.**

We are in growth mode with exciting projects coming up in the next few months which will see our support requirements increase.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person who has an eye for detail and a passion for technology. Someone with excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will be the first point of contact for IT, dealing with internal Hill Labs Staff so excellent customer service skills are essential. You will need to be able to think on your feet, be willing to learn and most importantly be able to work independently as well as being a team player.

The support team is a critical part of our IT operations. You will contribute to servicing requests to meet SLAs. Your responsibilities will include working with stakeholders to resolve customer issues ensuring service meets the highest standard.

**This role is permanent, based in Christchurch, working Monday to Friday with possibilities of flexible working hours.**

**About You**

You are a natural-born trouble-shooter who can think through a problem logically and drive to the root cause. You have excellent communication skills and can build relationships whilst efficiently collaborating with other teams. You are proactive and you can work independently with excellent time management. You also show a natural inclination for leveraging approved process and escalation procedures.

**_ In addition to the attributes given above, you will need the following skills to succeed in this role:_**
- Minimum of 1 years' service desk experience
- Solid ticket management experience using service desk ticketing software (Jira, Zen Desk etc)
- Hands on experience in delivering technical support for hardware devices such as PCs, laptops, and printers including computer imaging and deployment.
- Understanding of Networking principles & equipment
- Experience in supporting Microsoft product offerings such as Office 365, Windows 10 & 11 etc
- Experience in troubleshooting non-standard software

**Supplementary skills**
- A relevant IT qualification
