Facilities within Canterbury District include:

- Christchurch Women’s Hospital
- Hillmorton Hospital and the Princes Margaret Hospital - Mental Health Services
- Burwood Hospital - Older Persons Health and Rehabilitation Services, including the Spinal injuries Unit
- Ashburton Hospital - General Hospital, south of Christchurch

You will gain world class experience with varied case mixes and a high level of medical education, training and supervision. With 600 Resident Doctors employed at Canterbury, you will join a team committed to serving their community. You can learn more here

**Mō te tūnga | About the role**
- Fixed-term (12 months), full-time Neonatal Fellow
- Can be extended to 24 months
- Included in the Paediatric registrar allocation to NICU
- Commencing in January 2024
- Gain experience in level 3 and level 2 neonatal care, including surgical babies and retrieval work. Total 44 resourced cots, average 46-48 inpatients
- Work in a supportive team environment at Christchurch Women’s Hospital
- Delve into research on optimising nutrition, infection prevention, echocardiography and many more
- Accredited for advanced neonatal training for 18 months under the governance of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP)

- You will be an **Advanced Trainee** in an accredited postgraduate training programme eg RACP.

- Be supported by our Resident Doctors’ Support Team (RDST)
- Access support at all hours, including after-hours support from the Clinical Team Coordinators and SMOs
