**Position Summary**:
In this role, you will lead our BPU afternoon shift team in the production of raw finished serum and cell culture media supplements sold under our market leading Gibco brand. These products serve a variety of customers and are used in the manufacturing of pharmaceuticals, diagnostics and in the biotech industry. As the go-to person, you will coordinate production workload and workflow ensuring the team maintain a strong focus on safety, quality and efficiency through adherence to standard operating procedures. This is an active role where you will be on your feet, training team members in our processes and supporting the production team in completion of their daily tasks and activities.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Complete day-to-day production activities in conformance with specifications, (SOPs), and cGMP/ISO principles. Review and complete Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs), ensuring that all information is accurate, legible and correct to guarantee traceability.
- Delegate to Production Supervisor when required. Lead daily stand-up Tier 1 meetings and raise issues as required.
- Coordinate workload and workflow of required tasks for the afternoon shift including a 6-day multiple shift production pattern or as required.
- Support and contribute to our quality systems including change controls, deviations, customer audits and notifications, SOP and BMR updates.
- On-going development of the manufacturing team through coaching and skills development to support achievement of performance targets and personal development.
- Actively participate in EHS system by adhering to policies and procedures and reporting hazards to ensure a safe and healthy workplace environment for all. Communicate issues and potential solutions as they arise.
- Complete activities and PPI initiatives that support maintaining and improving manufacturing processes and systems.

**Working Conditions**:
Works in a processing lab and in a controlled clean environment including:

- Working in clean processing labs.
- Working in wet condition.
- Working in a storeroom or refrigerated environment. (up -20°C)

May be required to lift up to 20kg on occasion. Able to work safely with chemicals and hazardous materials and be flexible around hours of work.

**Minimum Requirements/Qualifications**:
**Qualifications & Experience**
- Experience working in a cGMP/ISO environment in a manufacturing role.
- Experience with and high level of understanding of ISO9001 quality systems and principles
- Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheets, quality, and inventory systems
- Experience in leadership and team development
- Experience and understanding of serum production processes or the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
