**He angitūtanga: The Opportunity**

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Animal Shelter Officer to join our team to support Animal Management’s primary focus of keeping Aucklanders safe from animal related nuisance and harm. This shelter officer role is essential in ensuring the well-being of all dogs in our shelter. Your responsibilities will include but **ARE** not limited to the following:

- Ensure all animals receive proper care, including feeding, exercise, and enrichment activities.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for all shelter animals.

- Ability to assist the vet with various tasks including euthanasias.

This is a physically demanding role that requires you to be on your feet for most of the day and involves significant cleaning duties.
