**About the role**

As a Kairuruku for Home Based Learning, you will be responsible for the national management of assigned programmes. This role involved providing ongoing, needs-based support to Kaitiaki (Assessor) and stakeholders.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

- Manage and oversee assigned Home-Based Learning programmes, including He Papa Reo and Tikanga and Mana Ora.
- Provide comprehensive on-going needs-based support to Kaitiaki, stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with programme approval and accreditation requirements.
- Align programme activities with Te Wānanga o Aotearoa values and strategic objectives.
- Teach marau as required.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to enhance programme delivery and effectiveness.

The following Home-Based Learning programmes are included in this role:

- Papa Whairawa which aims to provide individuals with basic knowledge and skills to make informed financial decisions.
- Mana Ora is a unique programme of running a business and kaupapa Māori at the same time.

**About you**

You will also bring with you:

- A Bachelors Degree in a relevant discipline.
- Masters degree in a relevant discipline.
- Professional Registration if required.
- Current Practicing Certificate.
- Minimum of 5 years teaching experience in the NZ education sector.
- Rangahau (Research) Experience.
- Confident user of Microsoft Suite.
- Confident user Information Communication Technology (ITC) tools - digital infrastructures
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent relationship management skills.
- A full NZ Drivers License.

As a kaupapa Māori organisation, your willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of Āhuatanga Māori (values, culture and tikanga) is desirable.
