Senior Lawyer, Public Law - Permanent

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Lawyer to join our supportive and cooperative public law team and provide high quality legal services for the Ministry of Social Development.
As a Senior Lawyer, you will focus on providing public law advice and supporting operational and policy change. This includes policy development, regulatory and legislative reform and some drafting of secondary legislation. It involves working closely with our internal clients and the Parliamentary Counsel Office. You will also play an important role in coaching, mentoring and developing other lawyers in the team.
Experience in the Government Legal Network is desirable; especially experience with legislative and policy development. In-depth knowledge of social security law and public and administrative law are also desirable. As we are looking for a Senior Lawyer, your experience in training, developing, and coaching lawyers is preferred. You will also contribute to work done in other parts of the legal team.

- Hold a current New Zealand practising certificate (or be eligible to hold one)

**Salary range**: $100,014.00 - $150,022.00
