**About the opportunity**:
Our client is a well-established company in the Infrastructure sector, known for successfully delivering projects nationwide. To meet the increasing demand of their present workload, they are seeking a talented and experienced Lead QS - Electrical Estimator to join their team.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of the organization by delivering high-quality projects alongside their dedicated team.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with the team to manage and deliver multiple concurrent Design and Build projects, ensuring each project's unique priorities are met.
- Lead and expand the Estimation teams in both Auckland and Christchurch, overseeing the delivery of high-quality projects.
- Manage the fiscal aspects of various projects, working closely with the Project Management Team to ensure projects are delivered within set budgets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders involved in commercial activities, ensuring a clear understanding of project contractual conditions for successful project delivery.
- Bring innovation and fresh ideas to the role while adhering to established guidelines and industry best practices.

**This role will suit someone with all or some of the following background/experience/qualities**:

- Proven experience in team leadership and management, preferably within the construction industry.
- Strong experience with Design and Build projects, with proficiency in CAD drawing considered advantageous.
- Solid background in collating site information for estimation purposes.
- Excellent contract management and review skills.
- Ability to prepare accurate quotations and submit competitive project bids in line with tender guidelines.
- Proficiency in producing bills of materials and handling scope, design, and price variation work as required.
- Strong ability to build relationships with both suppliers and client project management teams.
- Demonstrated expertise in budget and cost control, forecasting, and monthly claim management.
- Experience in developing subcontractor and supplier agreements.
- Sound understanding of commercial risk management principles.

**Salary**: $110,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
