Auckland City, New Zealand Building Products Divisional Support Full time

The Building Products Division of Fletcher Building employs over 1900 people across more than 60 manufacturing, distribution and sales sites in New Zealand. We create products used to build homes, buildings and infrastructure - including insulation, plasterboard, steel products, laminate surfaces, plastic piping and structural timber. Our businesses include Winstone Wallboards, Laminex, Comfortech, Iplex Pipelines, Fletcher Steel and Fletcher Wood Products

Building Products Divisional Support have created a new role to support the transition to all 6 BU’s including the newly formed Fletcher Wood Products in achieving ISO45001 status.

We are looking for an experienced HSE practitioner who has experience in implementing and maintaining ISO standards as well as general HSE practitioner experience in manufacturing organisations.

The role will also be intrinsically aligned with our Critical Risk Management framework maturity as we strive for aligning the controls for our critical risks consistently across building products and ensuring our controls are assessed and rectified as we find improvements via our planned critical control verification processes.

**In this key role you will operate as**:
A Trusted Advisor, providing proactive best practice advice, tools and support that navigate the operational requirements of the business whilst maintaining the highest standard of safety.

A Coach and Mentor, inspiring, engaging and developing our people, challenging & shaping mindsets and driving behavioural change.

A Business Partner collaboratively working at the front-line to lead safety initiatives and safety performance through the development of safety capability. The role will also work closely with FB Group colleagues and consultants on both the CRM and ISO45001 projects

**About you**:
You will ideally have 5 years’ experience in a similar role, communication and facilitation skills, drive, energy and a commitment to high standards.

An expert understanding and practical knowledge of NZ Health and Safety legislation and standards / Codes of Practice is a must, as is experience managing and leading change initiatives, practical Health and Safety experience from working in the manufacturing and building industry.

Project Management skills and an ability to “influence without authority” across a large stakeholder group both within Building Products and the wider FB business.
