Te Whatu Ora Health NZ Waitaha Canterbury, Ashburton Hospital is looking for people that are keen to make an impact and difference in their community on the provision of volunteer services. Tūārangi Home is a dedicated specialised home, providing continuing care, including rest home and long stay dementia care for the elderly.

In this volunteer role you will get to meet new people and organise activities to put a smile on someone - s face. You will be supporting your local community while learning a range of skills. The role is Monday - Friday with flexible hours to suit the needs of Ashburton Hospital and Tūārangi.

Some tasks include:

- Rostering volunteers throughout the hospital and Tūārangi
- Interviewing prospective volunteers
- Scheduling monthly meetings with the - Friends - team
- Joining with Nurse Educators to organise annual updates on CPR, infection control and fire training
- Co-ordinating Hospital Chapel services with local church ministers
