**Position background**:

**Position Purpose**:
This role contributes to research and insights projects for OMD's clients, focusing on real-time data analysis. Common research approaches include a combination of social listening, search trend and content consumption analysis to identify, understand and explain patterns of consumer behaviour. Tools the team use include social monitoring and reporting tools such as Facebook Ads manager, Crowd Tangle, Brandwatch Consumer Research tools and Power BI.

The role includes working with the wider OMD team to identify client's objectives and define research question/s, designing research approach, carrying out quantitative and qualitative analysis and writing easily digestible insights decks. Projects are exciting and varied and depending on the client's requirements could range from post campaign analysis to building and maintaining sentiment dashboards to content, audience, and strategy recommendations.

With the support of the Senior Analyst, this role works closely with Client Service leads, Strategy, and clients to deliver data - led insights and recommendations to OMD's clients.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Carrying out regular refreshes on competitor sentiment dashboards and reports.
- Brand and competitor product research.
- Setting up research including identifying data sources and writing key word Boolean queries.
- In collaboration with Senior Analyst carry out research projects, visualising data, documenting findings and writing recommendations for clients.

**Experience, skills, and abilities**:

- Someone with experience in data analysis across a range of datasets
- Ideally has some experience with qualitative data
- Experience with research methodology/process
- Has the ability to understand insight - can tell stories with datasets
- Inquisitive nature
- Some experience of media/advertising/marketing would be helpful
- Great written communication and presenting skills
- Attention to detail and ability to not get stuck ‘in the weeds'
