We are seeking a passionate, committed RMO for the 1.0FTE Rheumatology Advanced Registrar position to join our dynamic, progressive and multidisciplinary rheumatology department at Waikato Hospital, the largest tertiary campus hospital in New Zealand. The position has been accredited by the RACP Rheumatology ATC committee.

**Mō tātou Ratonga | About our Service**

The Rheumatology Department has 7 rheumatologists, 3 Clinical Nurse Specialists, 1 advanced trainee and 1 basic trainee. It has a strong research unit with 2 research nurses and dedicated occupational therapy and podiatry clinics on site. Specialist services run by the department include regional vasculitis and scleroderma clinics, bone clinic, myositis clinic, ankylosing spondylitis clinic and a combined Rheumatology/Dermatology clinic. There is exposure to multidisciplinary led patient care, research and education offering an excellent career opportunity.

Our research unit is involved with the full spectrum of clinical trials, including phase II-IV trials of novel agents, treatment modalities and investigator led research. Involvement in teaching and research projects is an active part of the position.

**Mōu | About you**

You will need to have registered or be eligible for registration with the New Zealand Medical Council, completed the FRACP written and clinical examinations (or equivalent) and completed basic training requirements. Previous experience in rheumatology is desirable and a New Zealand driver license
