We have an opportunity in the Regulatory Services Engagement team for an experienced Senior Advisor, Engagement to help us design engagement and education products and initiatives which support and elevate our regulatory effort and engagement with our audiences.

Regulatory Services aims to minimise harm and maximise benefits through effective oversight of anti-money laundering and countering financing terrorism and gambling regulatory systems. **What we are looking for**:
As a Senior Advisor Engagement, you will establish relationships and engagement with sector and community stakeholders affected by the legislative changes and develop tools and resources so people can more readily understand and comply with their rights and responsibilities.
You will have experience in leading, developing and implementing engagement plans for our regulatory interventions. You will be an innovative thinker with strong writing, editing and oral communications skills; demonstrated experience in tailoring messages to different audiences, and who can communicate technical information in an uncomplicated way.
A reputation as a capable, can-do, well organised and trusted professional who works collaboratively with others. Someone who can build, maintain and influence strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including Māori & Pacific communities.
We are looking for someone who is motivated and energised for this key role working across all aspects of engagement and sector education including contributing to and developing regulatory interventions, to raise awareness and drive behaviour change to increase compliance in our regulatory systems.
You will need a good understanding of the reasons and purpose for undertaking engagement and the variety of approaches and strategies to turn ideas and information into education and engagement campaigns across channels which are tailored and targeted to meet stakeholder needs.

**What you will bring to the role**:

- Previous experience in strategic engagement or sector education planning and delivery
- Excellent writing and editing skills and experience presenting complex information accurately, clearly and simply.
- Sound knowledge of communications and engagement tools, techniques and channels
- Well-developed planning skills with an ability to work on several projects at once and deliver to deadlines.
- The ability and personality to develop strong relationships with people.
- A 'can-do' attitude and strong customer service philosophy
- Knowledge and understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks.
- Understanding of the machinery of government
- Demonstrated understanding of Māori Tikanga and Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- Experience in engaging with Māori & Pacific communities will be an advantage.
