Determining the destinations of goods and the most appropriate delivery routes

Loading, transporting, and delivering items to clients or businesses in a safe, timely manner

Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied

Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules

Manoeuvring vehicles into position for loading and unloading

Assisting with loading to ensure goods are arranged for ease of delivery and safely secured to avoid damage

Arranging and performing unloading operations and obtaining certification of deliveries

Reporting vehicle maintenance needs

May receive payments for deliveries and arrange accounts

Accepting payments for delivered items if any

Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record

Preparing and verifying reports and other documents relating to deliveries

Operating equipment and machines, such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc

Providing excellent customer service, answering questions, and handling complaints from clients

Experience in the similar industry would be an advantage but not mandatory.

Applicants must be flexible to work long shifts and be available on weekends and on-call if needed.

Applicant must have a Full Driving licence or be able to gain one ASAP.

The rate of pay for this role is $23 to $24 per hour depending on experience.
