Remuneration Specialist

Napier City Council is seeking a Remuneration Specialist for a key fixed-term role. This position will involve co-designing a refreshed, sustainable, and equitable remuneration strategy, framework, policy, and processes to support the organisation.

**In this role you will be responsible for**:

- Lead the co-design of a sustainable, transparent, and equitable remuneration framework and strategy
- Develop and implement remuneration policy and processes
- Implement tools and processes to measure the effectiveness of remuneration policies and procedures
- Provide analysis for bargaining strategies and remuneration review processes
- Research, investigate, and advise on systems, strategies, and framework options/solutions

**To be successful in this role, you will need**:

- Ideally, a relevant tertiary qualification
- Background in HR with demonstrated specialisation in remuneration
- Proven experience in developing and implementing remuneration strategies, systems, frameworks, policies, and processes
- Experience with remuneration systems, market analysis, and trends, with the ability to interpret and relate data
- Experience in working within a comparably complex and sizeable environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and adapt communication styles to diverse audiences
