**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

This role is responsible for providing expert guidance and leadership in the field of emergency management and preparedness. This role plays a critical role in developing and implementing strategies, plans, and programmes to enhance Te Whatu Ora ability to respond to and recover from various emergencies.

**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**
- Several years' experience in emergency management, crisis response, and health leadership roles (in the range of 6+ years).
- Has experience in a lead role in a Local response.
- Has previous experience at a local level for developing, maintaining, and influencing mutually beneficial relationships and partnerships.
