Parks & Garden Maintenance Officer

Mona Vale is synonymous with Christchurch's status as New Zealand's "Garden City" and as an iconic place for wedding and civil union ceremonies. Being involved in all aspects of presentation, you'll have an eye for detail and an excellent plant knowledge and understanding of plant health and maintenance. You'll share your broad knowledge with other staff, the community and interest groups.

**About the role**
- Assist the Collection Curator in the development of the existing plant collections
- Support in the planning and replanting of the bedding displays that are routinely changed twice a year
- Working in a small supportive team, you will need to be a team player as we are proud of our team dynamic

**About you**
- An extensive plant knowledge and understanding of plant health and maintenance
- Full driver's licence
- A Certificate in Horticulture or relevant qualification (desirable) or extensive experience in similar role
- Hard working with a positive can-do attitude
- Strong communication skills with ability to lead public tours

- Salary_ - $50,586 to $64,754 per annum
- Location_ - This position is primarily based at Full time, permanent
