Auckland City, New Zealand PHAB Full time

PHAB is Aotearoa’s leading organization for weekly social and recreational activities for people with disabilities. PHAB social groups aim to increase independence, fun, inclusion, support and community engagement for people predominantly aged 16 - 35. PHAB youth workers are employed to safely facilitate social groups and activities as planned each term by the members. One week you will be in the building facilitating a craft session, the next week you will be in the community running a night of bowling. No two sessions are the same.

PHAB is recruiting two part time casual ‘Youth Workers’ to be employed weekly during school terms in social clubs in Takapuna and Te Atatu. We are seeking a club assistant in Takapuna on a Wednesday night from 6-8pm and a club leader in Te Atatu on a Tuesday night from 6-8pm.

We are looking for outgoing and fun people who are comfortable and friendly around a diverse range of people. If you walk into a room and feel confident talking to anyone there then this role could be for you As well as being outgoing we are also looking for someone with strong leadership and organisation skills.

Prior experience in the disability sector is not a requirement, however strong values of integrity, honesty and reliability are crucial. Training will be given by our lovely staff. Please note applicants are required to undergo a police check
