- As the Distribution Centre Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the smooth operation of our Auckland site, ensuring efficient management of inventory, and optimising logístical processes. This is an exciting opportunity to join a reputable company and make a significant impact on our operations. Key responsibilities will include:

- Number one importance, maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees and promoting a safety culture.
- Develop and implement effective strategies to optimise inventory management, ensuring proper stock levels and minimising stock discrepancies.
- Lead a team of warehouse staff with 7 direct reports and 19 indirect reports, providing guidance, coaching, and training to maximise their performance and maintain a positive work environment.
- Monitor, analyse and drive KPIs, such as productivity, accuracy, and delivery times, implementing improvements where needed.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to streamline processes, reduce costs, and enhance overall efficiency.
- Manage relationships with internal cross-functional teams and external logistics providers, negotiating contracts and monitoring performance to ensure service level agreements are met.

To be successful in this role you will have:

- Proven experience in warehouse or distribution centre management, ideally within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Sound understanding of health and safety regulations and procedures.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the aptitude to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
