Mō mātou - Our Organisation
At Kāinga Ora, ours is the important responsibility of transforming New Zealand's housing choices, outcomes and the entire housing sector by creating homes and communities that allow New Zealanders to thrive.
What is exciting about working for Kāinga Ora is getting the chance to make a real and positive impact on New Zealanders' lives. With skills, planning and purposeful action, our people are creating the homes and neighbourhoods that will build the future of Aotearoa.
We are passionate about transforming New Zealand for the better. That includes being a trusted partner for Māori and iwi, protecting and enabling their rights, interests, and aspirations under the guidance of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
Ko tā mātou mahi - Our Role
We are looking for a motivated, passionate person with an eye for detail to manage the Information Centre at Lakeside, Te Kauwhata. This is a fun, customer facing role that will allow you to connect with the local community.
The Information Centre is a hub that the public can visit to ask about the work we are doing in the area. Your role will be to receive this enquiry and share plans and information about the development and homes available for sale. As part of your role, you will coordinate the interface with builder partners for sales reporting as well as working closely with Kāinga Ora staff.
You will also be responsible for managing the roster for the centre, generating reports, and more.
This role is part-time role, up to 18 hours per week working Wednesday to Sunday between 10:00am - 4:00pm.
Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu - What you will bring
To be successful in this position, you will demonstrate the following:

- Local knowledge of the Te Kauwhata area
- Experience in a customer service, administration or sales environment
- Some exposure to marketing coordination would be beneficial, with a high level of attention to detail
- Interest in the property industry / understanding of the home-buying process
- Strong administration skills
- A positive, proactive, and self-motivated approach

This part time role will give you the work life balance you've been looking for. The Information Centre is a lovely environment, where no two days will be the same. If you're interested in property and enjoy being community facing, this could be the ideal role for you.
Nōu te rourou - What's in it for you?
We offer competitive salaries, five weeks' annual leave, and flexible working arrangements.
As a Kāinga Ora - Homes and Communities employee, we want to make sure that you have all the tools and support you need. We want to ensure you are healthy and have work-life balance.
