**Warehouse Team Leader**

Port Otago Group’s business comprises a regional container terminal, bulk port activities, cruise and property investment and development. We service South Canterbury, Otago, and Southland, working with customers to streamline their supply chains. Our culture is hands-on, safety focused and encourages continuous improvement.

As a Warehouse Team Leader in our Supply Chain Division you will be responsible for assisting in ensuring the delivery of safe operations to meet excellent customer service for best practice storage, receipt, and delivery of product. As Warehouse Team Leader you will be in charge of leading start of shift toolbox talks, assisting in labour allocation and resources, and jumping in helping the team operating a forklift as required. You will also assist in the delivery of operational excellence, safety, and process improvements.

Ideally you will have experience in managing and leading a small team coupled with previous warehouse experience. Excellent Computer literacy skills are a must, as are first-rate communication skills, both written and verbal.

**Some of the qualities we are looking for**:

- A true passion for Health & Safety - you will need to lead your team to ensure a high level of Health and Safety culture
- A current full driver’s license with F(Forklift) Endorsement
- Proven experience in a logistics and supply chain environment
- Lead by example and motivate others
- Excellent communication and team building skills
- Strong organisation skills with ability to multi-task and to also plan ahead and forecast.

It is important to note that we have four warehouses within our Supply Chain Division - Port Chalmers, Sawyers Bay, Mosgiel and Dunedin Cold Stores, therefore you need to be prepared to work across any of these sites as required reporting to the relevant Warehouse Supervisor or Manager as required.

- A full clean NZ Drivers licence is essential
- A high standard of safety - not afraid to speak up
- You must be able to pass Ministry of Justice, ACC checks and a medical which includes a drug and alcohol test as part of our recruitment process
