Practicing Traffic Management Officer

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Practicing Traffic Management Officer (TMO) to join our team. As a TMO, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient flow of traffic in designated areas. Your primary duties will include implementing traffic control measures, coordinating with local authorities, and responding to emergencies as needed.
**Responsibilities**:
- Implement traffic management plans in accordance with local regulations and project requirements.
- Operate traffic control equipment such as traffic lights, signs, and barricades.
- Direct traffic at intersections and construction sites to ensure the safety of workers and motorists.
- Monitor traffic flow and adjust control measures as necessary to prevent congestion.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure seamless traffic management operations.
- Conduct regular inspections of traffic control devices and report any malfunctions or damage.
- Provide assistance and directions to motorists as needed.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience as a Traffic Management Officer or similar role.
- Thorough understanding of traffic laws, regulations, and control techniques.
- Certification as a Practicing Traffic Management Officer (TMO) is needed.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Must have a Class 1 driver licence.
