**Te tūnga | The role**

This role is permanent based in either Wellington or Christchurch and reports to the Senior Manager - Census Programme Management Office (PMO).

Your focus is developing and maintaining an integrated risk and assurance framework which embeds risk management, assurance, robust operational review, and risk mitigation planning throughout the 2023 Census and Future of Population and Social Statistics (FoPaSS) Programme.

The wider FoPaSS programme is made up of several programmes and projects such as: 2028 Census, Data Sourcing Programme, Registers Programme, and Population Measurement Methodology. So there's plenty to keep you busy.

The role will work alongside the Census Programme Leadership team to provide hands-on support and advice on the identification and proactive management of programme and project risks and mitigation planning. Due to the nature of the work, we require someone who can operate with a high degree of accountability, autonomy and using sound judgement. You'll be able to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders such as external audit organisations.

- About your knowledge and experience, or willingness to learn about Te Tiriti, Tikanga, Te Reo and Te Ao Māori.
